Passed my driving test first time using Matt! I cannot thank him enough for how amazing he has been and how much patience he had for myself who was once terrified to learn! But I am ever so grateful for the confidence I have gained and I wouldn’t ever hesitate to recommend him to others! He is extremely easy to get along with creating a comfortable environment to learn. I would highly recommend Excel Driver Training. Richard is an excellent driving instructor, who is brilliant at putting his students at ease, giving them the confidence to learn to become safe, capable drivers. My daughter had already recommended Excel to her friends and we will definitely be in touch with Richard again when our younger children are ready to learn to drive.

Passed my automatic test yesterday on my first attempt with only 1 driver fault thanks to my amazing teacher Aneka! I couldn't recommend her more she's extremely helpful, kind, knowledgeable and calm - and really puts you at ease on your first few lessons as I was very nervous at the beginning from having a bad experience with a different instructor. She would always ask me at the start of each lesson what is my preferred way of learning which is accommodating and makes learning much easier and quicker as its tailored to each specific student she has. Every lesson I had I always noticed improvement in my driving and learned new skills and tips each time. If you're thinking of having automatic driving lessons Aneka is your go to lady!

Richard is an absolutely amazing instructor, he is always calm and collected. Very good at making you feel confident while driving and lessons were always enjoyable. The use of the progress tracking app and everything helped so much in getting me to reflect on each lesson to see where i was at and what i need to improve on. Overall he helped me pass first time, months before my original target. Extremely pleased.

I would highly recommend Richard at Excel. Having been let down by an intensive driving company, I contacted Richard to see if he could help. Straight away, he was extremely helpful, communicative and went out of his way to help my daughter get the lessons that she needed to have booked in before her test. He is such a kind, genuine and caring person as well as being a very good driving instructor who explains things very clearly. The app that he uses is great for letting students know exactly what they still need to focus on. He was always reliable, on time and very professional. I am so glad we found him. Brilliant, calm and competent instructor.Due to having many breaks in his lessons with a previous instructor  and also covid lockdowns getting in the way, my sons confidence had been knocked. Richard worked closely with him and got him back thinking positively about his driving.Will definitely use Excel again.

Aiden was such an amazing instructor. Can’t fault him, always willing to change how he teaches something to adjust you. Has the patients of a Saint especially when you repeatedly want to practice the same thing. Makes you feel at ease and allows u to be so relaxed you feel as though your with a friend. Richard has done a great job in not only helping me pass my driving test but also preparing me for independent driving. He has a very relaxed style of teaching which works well for driving as it allows you to stay calm and focused whilst also allowing you to learn all that is required to be a safe driver. If you're learning to drive I would recommend Excel Driver Training as you get an experienced instructor and get to drive a car with all the bells and whistles

Would definitely recommend ExceL Driver Training, great communication throughout and even during  lockdown when no lessons could take place still always happy to answer questions. the app shows driving skills and progress made, also has lessons booked so you can keep track. as a parent I did like to have a quick catch up on progress after his lesson to which helped settle my own nerves on this next stage of parenting!! overall excellent service and will be booking again for my younger son.

Richard has been a great instructor, from accidently popping his tyre to passing with 0 minors on my first attempt. He is really patient, cares about your concerns and he will always reassure you when you need it. I highly recommend him! :)

I was always so nervous about starting driving and put it off for a long time as I didn’t believe I was ever going to be able to do it, but after beginning lessons with Richard all those worries washed away and my confidence in both myself and my driving abilities slowly but surely increased. I’ve had such a good time learning to drive with him, as he uses a student-focused teaching method which allows you as the learner to take real control of your progress. With self reflections and visual progress on the app you can track your success easily and you can see simply where your strengths and weaknesses lay. He’s a really lovely instructor who makes you feel at ease and is super easy to talk to, which as someone who gets anxious starting new things was super important to me. I’ve never felt worried or stressed out on a lesson as he keeps very calm and collected even in tricky situations. He’s also very patient and considerate so you never feel rushed or out of your depth. And here we are 30 hours later and I’ve passed first time! I seriously can’t recommend him enough and wish him the best in all that he does in the future :)

I had the most amazing time with Richard. Definitely the best driving instructor out there! He makes you feel safe and comfortable in the car and on the road and puts his 100% effort in getting to your goal. I had 16 hours in the space of two months and he got me to pass on the first attempt. The hard work and care he shows doesn’t go unnoticed and is much appreciated. I couldn’t have asked for someone better to teach me how to drive :)

My driving lessons with Richard were great. He taught me everything I needed to know, while also doing a lesson on the motorway. I felt really prepared when I went in for my test. Richard is a brilliant instructor. He is very calm and collected and is very patient in the car. He has clever little tricks to help you learn and remember. Without Richard, I wouldn’t have been able to grow my confidence behind the wheel.
